What is the Central Asia Universities Forum?
Central Asia Universities Forum (CAUF) is aimed to be the biggest regional education event for constructive interaction and discussion with education stakeholders focusing on preschool, school and higher education of the region. CAUF is expected to host 1,500 participants, bringing together 30 ministers of education, over 500 internationally reputed academics, researchers, policymakers, and other notable members of the education community from across Central Asia and the world. CAUF is divided into two sections: THE Central Asia Universities Forum 2024 and Central Asia Educators Symposium 2024. THE Central Asia Universities Forum 2024 is the inaugural regional higher education event arranged by Times Higher Education in a partnership with New Uzbekistan University.
What date does CAUF start?
The event officially begins on October 16th, 2024. The CAUF will also feature pre-forum activities on October 15, including the visits to educational and cultural landmarks in Tashkent. Post-forum activities on October 17 will include excursions to the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Sity in Samarkand.

What is the University of Central Asia’s mission?
The mission of the University of Central Asia (UCA) is to promote the social and economic development of Central Asia, particularly its mountain communities, by offering an internationally recognised standard of higher education and enabling the peoples of the region to preserve their rich cultural heritage as assets for the future.
What are the academic units of UCA?
UCA has three schools: School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE), School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), and Graduate School of Development (GSD).
What undergraduate programmes are offered at UCA?
UCA’s School of Arts and Sciences offers bachelor’s degree programmes with majors in Computer Science, Communications and Media, Global Economics, and Earth and Environmental Sciences at its residential campuses in Khorog and Naryn. Future plans include majors in Engineering Sciences and Business Management.
